What do I need to use Subflow?
Adobe After Effects CC 2022 or later on Mac or Windows, plus an internet connection for transcription. No API key or separate account is needed — everything works with just your Subflow license.
How does transcription work?
Subflow uses Deepgram Nova-3, one of the most accurate AI speech-to-text engines available. Audio is extracted from your composition and sent through Subflow's secure backend to Deepgram for transcription. Captions are returned as frame-accurate text layers in your After Effects timeline. You never need to manage an API key or pay any external service — it's all included in your subscription.
Is there a monthly minute limit?
Yes. The Monthly plan includes 150 minutes of transcription per calendar month. The Yearly plan includes 180 minutes per calendar month — a commitment bonus for annual subscribers. Unused minutes do not roll over. You can see your usage at any time inside the plugin.
Is there a free trial?
No free trial — Subflow is a subscription product.
